It’s time to get smart about hair loss.

Am I a good candidate for a procedure using SmartGraft?

What’s the SmartGraft procedure like?
Using only local anesthetic, we use SmartGraft device to gently extract individual micro hair grafts from the back of your head.
These grafts may then be implanted into the balding area to regrow thick, healthy, natural hair.

What kind of results should I expect?
Your new hair grafts will grow in the areas that are thinning, creating a fuller head od hair all around your head. Since it’s your real hair, it looks completely natural, restoring a more youthful appearance and confidence levels.

What is the recovery period like?
The minimally invasive SmartGraft procedure heals quickly. You can return to work in a couple of days, with very few activity restrictions after the procedure.

Will there be a linear scar?
You can wear any hairstyle you like (long or short) without a visible linear scar.

Is SmartGraft suitable for both men and women?
Yes. Because SmartGraft is a minimally invasive procedure, it is a viable option for both men and women looking to restore their own real hair.

Is SmartGraft suitable for both men and women?
Yes. Because SmartGraft is a minimally invasive procedure, it is a viable option for both men and women looking to restore their own real hair.

Do I have to get a buzz cut to have a SmartGraft procedure?
No. If your hair is long enough, hair grafts can be harvested using the SmartGraft by shaving small areas that can be covered by your longer hair.

When will the new hair start to grow?
The full impact of hair transplant surgery can be experienced after approximately 9 months, when we typically see the majority of grafts producing viable hair follicles. In the months immediately after your surgery, the grafts will go through a number of phases and follicles may fall out before the grafts starts producing new hairs.

Why should I consider SmartGraft?
Excellent results in less time, and it’s ideal for both men and women.
It incorporates the most critical component of hair transplantation – the human artistry required for proper, natural looking, facial faming.
It allows for extracting grafts from other parts of the body, such as chest, back and face.

The majority of hair loss patients are candidates for the SmartGraft procedure, particularly those who would like to wear very short haircuts, want the least amount of activity restriction after their procedure, or have had a prior strip procedure and need a scar camouflage.

The best way to determine this is through a free consultation. Contact us to set one up today! SmartGraft is the smart choice for hair restoration.

SmartGraft

Hair procedures in the past required major surgery, leaving a large linear scar across the back of the head. Recovery time was slow and uncomfortable. Newer automated and robot technologies have been developed but are still slow and ineffiecient.

Smart Graft is a smarter option for both men and women searching for permanent solution to hair loss.

FOR YOU, THAT MEANS:

Minimal Recovery time.
Fast healing time with virtually no interruption of lifestyle.

Expert Harversting
Less time in the doctors chair, in and out in a day.

Not Gender Specific
Ideal for both men and women of all hair types.

Natural Results
Hair grows and complete in a period between 9 months to a year.

KNOWLEDGE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING

Aesthetic vaginal surgery involves aesthetic and functional reshaping of the labia, the vulva, the mons, and/ or the clitoral hood. These procedures are performed when a woman is uncomfortable with the appearance of her genitalia or is having discomfort in clothing or swimsuits, exercise, or intimate moments.

These procedures can correct:

• Enlarged or misshapen labia minora
• Enlarged or bulging labia majora
• Excess hooding of the clitoral hood
• Changes to the labia minora and majora after childbirth or menopause
• Excessive prominence of the mons pubis
• Deflation of the mons pubis after menopause

Aesthetic vaginal· surgery may be right for you if:

• You are experiencing discomfort with exercise, tight-fitting clothing, or sexual intercourse because of an enlarged labia
• You are uncomfortable or embarrassed because of the appearance of your labia or mons
• You feel self-conscious wearing swimsuits or tight-fitting clothing
• You are healthy
• You have realistic expectations

PREPARINGFOR SURGERY

Preparation for surgery begins after your plastic surgeon examines you and discusses the details of the procedure. Your plastic surgeon will provide thorough preoperative instructions, answer any questions you may have, take a detailed medical history, and perform a physical exam to determine your fitness for surgery. You may be asked to undergo a medical evaluation or to have lab tests prior to surgery. Drinking lots of water before and after the procedure is essential for safe recovery and optimal outcomes.
Before your procedure, your surgeon will discuss with you:
• The impact that smoking and tobacco products have on your surgery. Your surgeon may recommend that you stop smoking and using other tobacco products, including nicotine patches, gum, and cigarettes before surgery.
• The importance of avoiding aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS: Advil, Motrin, Aleve), and vitamins or homeopathic regimens before surgery, since these products can increase bleeding. Aesthetic vaginal surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis. If this is the case, arrange for someone to drive you home after surgery. Your surgeon will provide complete instructions on pre and post-operative care. Read the instructions thoroughly, and be certain that you fully understand them. This will help make your procedure as successful as possible.

RESULTS

Aesthetic vaginal surgery will reshape, reinvigorate, and re-contour your labia and mans. You will find it easier to wear certain types of swimsuits and clothing. Exercise and intimate relations will be more comfortable. Like many women who have had aesthetic female genital surgery, you may have a boost in self-confidence.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST AFTER AESTHETIC VAGINAL SURGERY?

The results of aesthetic female genital surgery are usually long-lasting or permanent depending on the procedure performed. Further changes with aging or childbearing can alter the results obtained after surgery and require further treatment.

MAINTAINING A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR PLASTIC SURGEON

You will return to your plastic surgeon’s office for follow-up care at prescribed intervals, at which time your progress will be evaluated. Your surgeon will guide you on the timing for returning to your normal activities.

THE PROCEDURES

Labiaplasty

Childbirth or aging can cause enlargement or misshaping of the labia. For other women, the shape and size of their labia is a condition they are born with.
This procedure, the most common of vaginal aesthetic surgeries, involves reducing the size and protrusion of the inner lips or labia minora. Labiaplasty may be performed by either removing redundant labial tissue along the ruffled edge or as pie-wedge resection.

Labia Majora Reduction

This procedure removes the excess skin and tissue from the outer lips of the vulva. A wedge of tissue is removed from the labia majora and the incision is usually hidden on the inner edge of the labia.

Clitoral Hood Reduction

Excess protrusive tissue is removed from the hood overlying the clitoris. After trimming off the excess bulk, the clitoral hood is reshaped to achieve a more aesthetic appearance.

Mons Pubis Reduction

Excess bulkiness of the mons is removed using either liposuction and/ or surgical resection to achieve an appearance that is  proportional to the patient. The incisions are usually hidden in the natural folds and creases of the mons.

Mons Pubis Enhancement

Loss of volume of the mons, commonly associated with aging, is corrected by re-inflating the mons. Fat grafting, using the patient’s own fat harvested from elsewhere in the body, is used to refill and reshape the mons. In some instances, soft-tissue fillers instead of fat grafting are used to enhance the appearance and fullness of the mons.

Labia Majora Enhancement

Loss of volume of the labia majora, most frequently associated with aging, is addressed by filling the labia majora with soft-tissue fillers or fat grafting. This procedure often can be performed using local anesthetic.

Tummy Tuck Surgery at Our Dallas Cosmetic Surgery Center

Abdominoplasty, also known as tummy tuck surgery, is used to tighten and smooth the abdominal region, many times in conjunction with a liposuction procedure. Many people have the goal of a flatter, more attractive-looking stomach. Unfortunately, with loose abdominal skin, toning the underlying muscles may not be enough to provide a noticeable improvement. Both men and women can often achieve the results they desire through tummy tuck surgery. An informative consultation at our Dallas / Fort Worth – area practice with Dr. Alfred Antonetti can help those considering tummy tuck surgery to determine if this body contouring procedure is right for them.

Best Candidates for Tummy Tuck

It is important to consult a cosmetic surgeon to determine if the abdominoplasty procedure can be expected to achieve the results you desire. During your cosmetic surgery consultation, your body type and goals for surgery will help Dr. Antonetti determine if the tummy tuck procedure at his Fort Worth-area practice is right for you. Individuals who may benefit from a tummy tuck include those with:

  • Loose skin around the abdomen
  • A protruding abdomen
  • Weak or separated abdominal muscles
  • Excess fat in the abdominal region

The Tummy Tuck Procedure

For those considering tummy tuck surgery, Dr. Antonetti and his staff serving the Dallas / Fort Worth area provide extensive information regarding every aspect of the procedure – from the initial decision making process to the final days of recovery. During the tummy tuck procedure, excess fat is removed, the muscles of the abdomen are tightened, and the overlying skin is pulled taut. This process can be performed from the pubic area up to the navel in what is called a partial abdominoplasty, or mini tummy tuck. With the more extensive version, called a full abdominoplasty, the area as far up as the bottom of the rib cage can be treated.

The tummy tuck procedure typically begins with a horizontal incision just above the pubic area. The incision may extend almost from one hip to the other. In a full abdominoplasty, a second incision will be placed around the navel. The skin is then separated from the muscles and tissue underneath. Fat is removed, and the abdominal muscles may be pulled in towards the center of the body with sutures. Then, the skin is pulled downward and the excess trimmed off at the bottom. In a full abdominoplasty, a new hole is created for the navel.

Tummy Tuck Recovery (Pre-/Post-op Instructions)

For individuals who are troubled by loose skin and isolated fat deposits in the abdominal area, abdominoplasty, also known as tummy tuck surgery, can sculpt the abdominal profile, making it appear smoother and flatter. The results of a tummy tuck can be very exciting, but it is important to take excellent care of yourself before and after your cosmetic surgery to achieve the best possible outcome with abdominoplasty. During your consultation at our Plano TX cosmetic surgery practice, Dr. Alfred Antonetti will provide detailed pre- and post-operative instructions and address any questions or concerns you may have.

  1. The night before your surgery, take one antibiotic.
  2. Do not have anything to eat or drink after midnight on the night before your abdominoplasty, including food, water, tea, coffee, juice, mints, or gum. Medications prescribed by your physician are fine.
  3. For 24 hours before and after surgery, do not drink alcoholic beverages. Aspirin products, blood thinners, vitamin E supplements, herbal medications, and herbal teas must also be avoided for two weeks before and two weeks after abdominoplasty surgery.
  4. A responsible adult must be present to drive you home after surgery and spend the night with you.
  5. You should shower the morning of your surgery and wash your hair, but please do not apply any lotion, powder, cream, or deodorant product. Please wear a button or zip-up outfit that is loose and comfortable, nothing that needs to be slipped over your head. You may wear glasses, but not contact lenses. Please leave all jewelry at home.
  1. Do not wear anything tight on your abdomen. Tight clothing can hinder proper healing after abdominoplasty and cause lines.
  2. You should start with a clear liquid diet, such as soup and crackers, and drink plenty of fluids. Progress slowly to your regular diet. This helps prevent nausea and vomiting.
  3. Sleep with two pillows behind your back and two pillows under your knees. This takes the pressure off your abdomen. Some patients sleep in a recliner for the first week. You can start to straighten your posture after five to seven days following tummy tuck surgery. Let your body tell you when it is time.
  4. If you have drains, sponge bathe until your drains have been removed. You can shower 12 hours after the drains are removed.
  5. Do not smoke until released by Dr. Antonetti. Smoking delays the healing process.
  6. For six weeks after your abdominoplasty procedure, or until given approval by Dr. Antonetti, do not exercise or engage in any activities that raise your blood pressure.

Slim Down and Boost Your Confidence

Some areas of the body seem immune to the effects of exercise and retain fat even with a healthy diet. Such areas are often a source of frustration and self-consciousness for people who are otherwise of normal weight. For this reason, Dr. Alfred Antonetti provides liposuction procedures that are exceptionally effective. With Dr. Antonetti, patients have access to a premier liposuction surgeon.

Best Candidates for Liposuction

Good candidates for liposuction at our plastic surgery practice include people who are already at a reasonably healthy weight and want to improve the appearance of their overall figure by removing fat from specific areas. People struggling with obesity are generally not good candidates for liposuction. Liposuction can be performed on patients in a wide variety of age groups. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that aging skin tends to lose its elastic quality. When the skin is less elastic, it may not ideally conform to the new shape the body has taken after liposuction. For this reason, liposuction is often performed in conjunction with a tummy tuck procedure for firmer skin around the abdomen. At our Dallas facility, liposuction is usually an outpatient procedure requiring only minimal incisions. It can be used to treat many areas of the body.

The Liposuction Procedure

Through liposuction, Dr. Antonetti and the staff at his Plano TX office, remove fat cells in areas that will not react to diet and exercise. The removal is performed with a suction tube called a cannula. Since its inception, there have been many advances in the practice of liposuction. At his Dallas practice, Dr. Antonetti stays abreast of the latest liposuction procedures and techniques.

Common Liposuction Treatment Areas

Liposuction is usually an outpatient procedure requiring only minimal incisions. It can be used to treat many areas of the body, including:

  • Legs
  • Hips
  • Buttocks
  • Abdomen
  • Arms
  • Chest (in men, especially)
  • Neck
  1. Take one antibiotic the night before surgery at bedtime.
  2. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight on the night before your liposuction procedure. This includes water, tea, coffee, juice, mints, gum, and food, but does not apply to medications prescribed by your physician.
  3. Do not drink any alcoholic beverages for 24 hours before or after surgery. Do not take aspirin products, vitamin E, blood thinners, or any herbal medications or herbal teas for two weeks before and two weeks after surgery.
  4. You must have a responsible adult drive you home and spend the night with you the night of your surgery. You cannot drive yourself home, and we will not release you to a cab driver.
  5. Shower the morning of surgery and wash your hair. However, no lotion, powder, cream, or deodorant should be used on your body. You should wear loose, comfortable clothing that doesn’t have to be slipped over your head. All jewelry should be left at home. If you wear prescription lenses, please wear your glasses, not your contact lenses.
  1. Drink plenty of fluids (e.g., Gatorade®, fruit juices, water, 7UP® / Sprite®). Starting with a clear liquid diet, such as soup and crackers, and progressing slowly to a low-fat diet will help prevent nausea and vomiting.
  2. Don’t be alarmed if you experience fluid drainage from the liposuction incision sites. This will stop after 24 hours. Rest on a beach towel. You may also reinforce the area with gauze.
  3. Take it easy and just rest for the first week. Do not drive until your drains have been removed. Resume normal daily activities slowly, and refrain from strenuous exercise for two weeks.
  4. You must sponge bathe until your drains are removed, after which you can shower. Your tape will be removed in one week from the procedure. Just gently pat dry after your shower.
  5. Do not sit with your body flexed more than one hour at a time to ensure smooth abdominal skin. Preferably, lie flat or recline with your legs elevated.
  6. Keep your compression garment on at all times for three weeks, only removing it to shower daily once your drains are removed. This is essential to a positive outcome. On the fourth week, you may wear the garment 12 hours on and 12 hours off.
  7. To prevent unsightly lines and to promote smooth skin after liposuction, do not wear anything tight or elastic around your waist or thighs.
  8. Do not judge your results until all swelling and bruising have subsided. Swelling will temporarily mask the effects of liposuction and can take from 6 to 10 weeks to go down. Bruising usually goes away within a week or two, especially with massage. This will enhance circulation and thus promote healing. Dr. Antonetti will instruct you on massage techniques during your first week visit.
